In order to attend school, the children would have to cross the river each day, which is unsafe and unreliable. Because of these challenges, their family sought a safer environment where the boys could receive consistent education, leading them to Faith in the Brooke.

Muniya’s father struggles with alcohol addiction and is unable to provide care or support for the family. As a result, her mother made the difficult decision to seek a safer and more stable environment for Muniya, leading her to Faith in the Brooke.
Vinay Babu’s mother left the family to be with another man, leaving his father to care for him alone. The emotional distress from this situation led Vijay’s father to attempt suicide and he was hospitalized for three months. During this time, he incurred significant medical expenses and took out multiple loans to cover the costs. As a result, the family is now facing severe financial hardship and is unable to provide Vijay with the care and stability he needs. For these reasons, Vijay has been brought to Faith in the Brooke for safety, support, and hope for a better future.
Swati does not have her father in her life. Her mother remarried, but her stepfather treats her poorly, forcing her to work every day and taking all the money she earns. Because of this, Swati came to Faith In The Brooke to pursue her dreams of higher education. She will go off to college in June of 2026.
